When we call it.

Steady rain doesn't stop us. Any of the following do:

• Heat. Heat index at or above 100°F.
• Cold. Wind chill at or below 15°F.
• Storms. An active severe thunderstorm or tornado warning for DC, or lightning within 10 miles at start time.
• Ice or snow. An active winter storm or ice storm warning, or visible ice on the route.
• Air quality. AQI at or above 150 (Unhealthy).

For the weekly run, the call gets made by 4 PM the day of and posted on Instagram. If we're on, we're on. If we're off, you'll see it there early enough to change your plans.

The same thresholds apply to Toastique → Domestique. If weather forces a call on race day, registrants get an email at least 12 hours out, with a new date to follow.
